Waylon
Waylon (on right) follows his older “brother” Dylan (on left) in moving to HorseLink at the conclusion of his riding career. Born in 2002, Waylon is an Appendix Quarter Horse, but due to his massive size is often jokingly called a “One and a quarter horse.” He and his owner were absolute soulmates for their 17 years together, and Waylon competed successfully for many of those years as a show hunter, while continuing to have fun over big jumps long after his owner retired from the show ring. He is the most gentle of giants and most loving of souls, and is looking forward to sharing his inner peace and affection with many more people during his golden years at HorseLink—and being an orphan, he brings his own personal knowledge of dealing with trauma.
If you love Waylon and would love to contribute to his health and well-being, please consider a sponsorship. Every bit helps to keep our horses fed, healthy, and feeling good to do their important work.
