HorseLink for Veterans Introductory Program
February 23 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
SUPPORT * CONNECTION * COMMUNITY
Starting over in civilian life can be a difficult adjustment for veterans and their families. Anxiety, frustration, anger, and confusion are all common emotions that arise, which causes stress and tension. This program is designed to ease this transition and help veterans connect to themselves and their loved ones by establishing a trusting partnership and bond with horses. HorseLink for Veterans provides a safe space, surrounded by nature, where veterans partner in exercises with horses in ways which can decrease stress, improve communication, and strengthen relationships. The horses provide gentle feedback with total acceptance of the people they work with.
Please note: NO riding is involved in our programs and NO prior horse experience is needed! Safety is paramount. All horse-human interactions are designed to build on each other, with the pace adjusted for each individual. For this reason, groups are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of six participants.
